2. The Diwali Festival Diwali is one of the biggest festival of Hindu people, celebrated with great enthusiasm and happiness in India. The festival is celebrated for five continuous days, where the third days is celebrated as the main Diwali festival or 'Festival of lights'. Different colourful varieties of fireworks are always associated with this festival. On this auspicious day, people light up diyas and candles all around their house. The festival of Diwali is never complete without exchange of gifts. People present Diwali gifts to all near and loved ones.
3. Artistic Policy The Diwali festival is the chance for everyone to join in and enjoy the theme of unity and experience the cultural richness of the religion ‘Hinduism’. The celebration of Diwali gives the chance for Hindus to perform Laxmi Puja to seek divine blessings of Goddess of Wealth. The policy also requires using lights in many ways including lighting candles and set of fireworks to worship Ganesha, the elephant-headed representation of God and Lakshmi, goddess of light, wisdom and fortune.
