3. Program Description
The Electrical Systems Technology program is a sequence of courses designed to prepare students for
careers in residential, commercial and industrial electrical construction and maintenance.
Learning opportunities develop academic, technical, and professional knowledge and skills required for job
acquisition, retention, and advancement.
The program emphasizes a combination of theory and practical application necessary for successful
employment.
The program is industry-certified through the National Center of Construction Education and Research
(NCCER) in accordance with Construction Education Foundation of Georgia (CEFGA) standards

The job market is full of opportunities
available to you in the electrical industry.
From contractors to manufacturing
industries, there are also opportunities
available in the sales of electrical
equipment and materials.
Salaries range by geographical area for
graduates entering the electrical industry.
Students entering the market locally can
expect $9 to $12 starting out. Students
entering the market in the Atlanta area
can expect $15 to $20 starting out .
