2. Today we had a lesson how to use Photoshop effectively, which will
help us be able to edit the photos we took for our music magazines.
The main editing tools we learnt were cosmetic. This means that if
there are any blemishes, or faulty features on our models we will be
able to edit them to make them look better.
Some of the editing tools we practiced were using the burn tool in
order to darken and define eyebrows.
Also, we practiced changing the colour of our models eyes. We did this
by selecting the quick tool and selecting the entire coloured bit of the
eye.
Then, we selected ‘ctrl + u’ which brings up a toolbox we can use to
either decrease or increase saturation or hue. By doing this it adjusts
the colour of the model’s eyes.
For example, previously this model had dark blue eyes but with the
Photoshop tools I learnt I changed her natural eye colour from blue to
green. On the other slide are the results of the editing:
