 districts ,124 sub-districts (Nahiye)
 and 374 neighborhoods.
The mission of Director General
 Office for Health in Tehran
 municipality is the promotion of
 citizen’s health through development
 of social networks.
To achieve this aim, community
 health centers and Elderly Clubs
 were launched throughout the
 neighborhoods with the approach to
 reduce inequity in health and to
 promote inter-sectorial
 collaboration and public
 participation.
Important activities of

the elderly social network

 To issue senior citizenship ID card (respecting card) to
  the elderly
 To develop 374 neighborhood clubs for the elderly

 To establish the elderly advisory Council for the elderly

 To provide supportive programs to elderly including
  recreational activities and health education.

 Starting "Age-Friendly City“ program (approved by the
  high city council of Tehran) to adapt urban physical,
  social and cultural environment towards age friendly
  city, planned by WHO.

Collecting, setting, developing and delivering
 construction standards for residential,
 commercial and public building to reduce events
 could endanger the health of the elderly.
