5. RESEARCH OF COLOR PALETTE Luschers Theory In Luscher’s theory each combination has a corresponding color. In short: * Earth =Green is associated with solidity, persistence and self respect. * Water =Blue with relaxation, satisfaction and self moderation. * Air =Yellow with loosening, change and self development. * Fire =Red with excitement, activity and self confidence. Jung's Analysis Jung’s analysis of the 4 functions of consciousness corresponds closely to Luscher’s in structure & color: Green=Earth>>sensation Blue= Water>>thinking Yellow=Air>>intuition Red= Fire>>feeling CIRCLE OF INFINITY>>ROTATION OF ELEMENTS>>WHEEL OF FORTUNE The Pythagoreans highly esteemed the number FOUR. The figure 4 basically forms a cross, and the cross or square naturally represent four ness. We live in the circle of our horizon on which we impose the four points of the compass to orientate ourselves. Two pairs of opposites make four ness. The square or cross in the circle forms a mandala, and figures of this kind seem universal: the cross of matter and the circle of infinity which comprise our planetary glyphs. Liz Greene draws an analogy between Jung’s four typological functions of consciousness “thinking, feeling, sensation and intuition” and the four Elements.

WATER Season - Autumn Time of Day - Dusk/sunset Direction - West Color - Blue Archangel - Gabriel Serenity is a result of Water's presence in our lives. Water is the most psychic of all the elements. It cleanses, nourishes and reflects. It is passive and malleable - it takes on the shape of whatever contains it. Water rules the emotions and the subconscious. Throw a stone into a lake or a pond and watch the endless ripples. Feeling compassion, shedding tears and giving to charity are the workings of this gentle element. EARTH Season - Winter Time of Day - Midnight Direction - North Color - Green Archangel - Uriel Stability is Earth's unique gift. Seeing, smelling, tasting and touching are functions of Earth. Earth is solid, rich, sultry, strong and dependable. It is the foundation for all the other elements. Earth is commitment, permanence, form. It is facts and law, practicality and consequence. Earth is about getting results. Poverty, insecurity, safety issues, obsessions and a sense of being "weak-willed"or incapable can all be resolved with earth.
