- When it comes to your water heater it isn’t just about efficiency, it is also about safety. That is why we recommend setting your water heater to 120 degrees. At 130 degrees or hotter, it can take mere seconds for someone to burn. At 120 degrees it takes over 5 minutes. For most water heaters, 120 degrees is the triangle on your knob.
- Let’s start with light bulbs, since they
- Bulbs provided through the program – twist, a-line, bathroom globe, indoor flood light. Don’t do outdoor lights, don’t have dimmable or three-way. We provide the bulbs most often used in Minnesota households. CFLs have the single quickest payback of any energy investment, but your payback will be even faster since we’re going to give you all the bulbs you need.
