Short description:
We live in the EU but there are several different nationalities with
different cultures and heritages. It is important for good understanding and
collaboration to know each other’s culture!
Pupils will prepare audio and video material that will describe their culture,
customs and special events. All events will be displayed on the calendar.
3. Goals
•pupils write about culture in English
•pupils make video films about their culture (films have to be translated into
English or have English subtitles)
•video films will be embedded into TwinSpace (from YouTube)
•pupils make audio files about their culture
•pupils read texts and watch films about the other cultures in order to
improve their knowledge in the foreign language.
•pupils learn not to take into consideration cultural stereotypes

5. Pedagogical basis:
In a cooperative way young learners get familiar with ICT tools, use a foreign language
to communicate with other learners of the same age in real situations and try to
understand each other. By describing, explaining and sharing information about
themselves, they become aware of their identity and of the similarities and differences
with young pupils from other European countries.
Working methods:
group work at each school to create presentations.
