1. Baron Pierre de Coubertin
Baron Pierre de Coubertin was born on the 1st of January
1863 in Paris, France and died on the 2nd of September 1936 in
Geneva, Switzerland aged 74.
Pierre’s parents were Charles Louis Frédy Baron de Coubertin and Marie–Marcelle Gigault de
Crisenoy. His siblings were Paul, Albert and Marie. He married Mary Rothan and they had a son
Jacques and a daughter - both disabled. Pierre de Coubertin played a big part in bringing back
the Olympics. He got all is friends and work collegges and made a massive commite and bought
back the olympic in 1896.

The Olympic Flag was introduced in 1914, when the International Olympic Committee held
its 20th anniversary in Paris, France.
The flag represents the five continents- Asia, Australasia, Africa, Europe, The Americas and Antarctica
The White Background on the flag represents Antarctica, The Blue Ring on the flag represents Europe, the
Black ring Represents Africa, the Red ring represents the America’s, Yellow is Asia and Green is Australasia

There has been 28 summer olympic games and the country that has hosted it the most is athens Greece which
have hosted in 3 times and the second most hosted games is Australia who have hosted it once in Sydney and
once in Melbourne.
London has hosted it 3 times (including 2012) they hosted it in 1948 and 1908 .
the US has hosted it 3 times and they were both held it in Los angeles. The other one was held in Missouri.

and it has been part of the modern Olympic Games ever
