3. What is HAS?
HAS is an acronym (or word) designed to help you
understand and remember the meaning of
Homonyms, Antonyms, and Synonyms.

4. Standard 1-3: The student will learn to read by
applying appropriate skills and strategies.
Indicators: 1-3.5 Understand the relationship
between two or more words (including synonyms,
antonyms, and homonyms).

In this lesson we have learned the concepts of HAS!
HAS is...
Homonyms- words that are spelled and pronounced alike but have different
meanings.
Antonyms- words that are the opposite of other words.
Synonyms- words that have the same meaning as other words.

Now that we have learned about Homonyms, Antonyms, and
Synonyms we will be able to add more words to our wide
range of vocabulary words.
We will also be able to write more complex things that include
descriptions, comparisons, and originality.
We will sound smart and look smart when talking to others
using our new skills.
