What is HAS?
HAS is an acronym (or word) designed to help you
understand and remember the meaning of
Homonyms, Antonyms, and Synonyms.
Standard 1-3: The student will learn to read by
applying appropriate skills and strategies.
Indicators: 1-3.5 Understand the relationship
between two or more words (including synonyms,
antonyms, and homonyms).
How does this fit into our education?
Objectives:
1. You will understand the similarities and differences in HAS.
2. You will be able to identify examples of HAS.
3. You will be able to use HAS accurately in sentences.
4. You will be able to observe others using HAS and you will
be able to identify them.
