1. Opening Film Credits Analysis
Zombieland
The opening scene of Zombie land is very gory and
gruesome , this gives the audience a clear sight to what the
movie will be like and the sort of genre it is. This sets the
scene for the rest of the film as it shows zombies chasing
humans in slow motion , focusing on their features. The
music that is featured in the opening credits is a piece of
rock music , which gives a sense of humor to the scene as it
is not scary or creepy. The opening credits to Zombieland
are very appropriet as they show gore and horror but also
give a slight sense of humor .
Destination 5
The opening credits of Final Destination 5 is not exactly gory
or gruesome but it shocking as terrifying as it shows lots of
different objects link to the film, smashing through glass.
Firstly It shows a name and then suddenly something
smashes through glass and causes fire, this is shocking and
startles the audience. This is a really goof way to start off the
film as it gives the audience a feel for how the film will
continue. Also the shot that it s taken from is very good as
the audience can see exactly when the object smashes
through the glass and it looks amazing.

2. Dolls
The opening credits of Dolls is a bit of a let down as it is not
very imaginative or creative. However it was made in 1987
so there was not must special effects that could be used, so
therefore the opening credits do actually work well for the
film. As you can tell the film is about Dolls, and the opening
credits portrays this in the first few minutes. It shows a
black background with a name on with a creepy dolls face
next to it, it s very creepy so it suits the film genre and gives
the audience a clue for what the film will include.
