Yucatan is in a privileged position to use
solar energy, because it receives
approximately 2007 hours of sunshine
per year.

WIND TURBINES. Wind turbine up to 3KW.
CHARGE Regulating device current generated by photovoltaic cells and wind turbines
CONTROLLER suitable for storage batteries.
INVERTER Converts direct current generated by solar panels and wind turbines into
alternating current to power your lights and appliances.
BATTERIES It is not necessary to use batteries, using a grid tied system.

11. Generate my own electricity is legal in
Mexico?
It is legal in Mexico with the
"Interconnection Agreement for
renewable energy sources or
cogeneration systems, in small and
medium scale application" (Bidirectional
contract) of the Federal Electricity
Commission (CFE).

consumption of electrical energy
with meters that only integrate the
energy you get from their network.
To establish an interconnection
agreement, CFE will change the
meter, installing a new one that will
allow electric power to flow in both
directions metering current
entering your home, and electricity
going out

15. Bidirectional contract.
CFE will credit your normal contract, the
difference between both loads, in one of
these three cases.
a) if the difference is bigger than zero, it means
that you consume more energy than you
generated, so CFE will bill that difference.

means that you consumed the same
amount of energy than that you
produced, so CFE will bill the minimal
amount according your normal contract
