3. You are being sent on a special mission for the Red Carpet Reading experience.

4. Your mission, if you choose to accept it, will involve you working with other secret agents in your group. You will need to mentally transport yourself back in time to the 1930’s. Your mission will be to learn about this time period and create a time capsule to teach others.

5. If you choose not to accept this mission you will be reassimilated into the general population. If you choose to accept begin your journey.

10. Process To learn more about this time period and create your time capsule you will: * Keep a diary as Bud Caldwell * Meet with your Literature Group research and discuss questions * Create, collect items, and describe items to put in a Time Capsule

11. Dear Diary... *When you were transported back to the 1930’s you became Bud Caldwell. As Bud you will keep a diary of your trials, tribulations, feelings, sayings, and any insights that reveal your true character. A diary is a place where you explore your feelings and emotions and where you keep your secrets and thoughts. *Look for and discuss ideas on family, survival, hope, and racisms. *Include one entry per chapter for each group.

Summarize the information into a short news report that Bud might have heard on the radio.
