your assigned seat and copy the agenda and

EVER!
9. Make up work
• Check Blackboard to see what you have
missed.
• If any handouts were given, look in the
“While You Were Out” crate.
• If you have any questions about the
missed assignments, either speak with
me during down time or e-mail me at
mary.horn@cobbk12.org.

Review &
Remediation
work is
mandatory!
13. Daily work
• Individual work/group work
– All work should be done individually unless you
are instructed to work with another student.
– Letting someone “see” your homework from the
previous night will be considered cheating.
• Finishing work early
– If you finish work early, you will be expected to
read silently. On occasion, you will be given
permission to work on assignments from other
classes.
• Late work
– You need to complete any late work before the unit
test is given in order to receive credit AND you
must adhere to the 5-30 rule.
15. Break time!
• Restroom and Locker Breaks
– You will be expected to use the restroom and
go to your locker before homeroom and
between classes as needed.
– With 5 minutes between classes, there
should be no need for anyone to have an
“emergency” restroom need during class
time.
– “I left it in my locker” will never be an
acceptable excuse in this class.
17. lunch
• When I tell you to line up, you will be
expected to silently line up along the wall
around the corner from my classroom.
• There is NO talking while walking in the
hallway.
• You will enter line A and sit at the assigned
tables in Row 3.
• Make sure you have everything you need
before leaving the line – no going back.
• If you need to get up for any reason, you
need to raise your hand, and a 7B teacher
will assist you.
19. Class dismissal
• Although the bell will ring at the end of
each period, I will be the one to dismiss
you.
• One of my pet peeves is when students
pack up before the bell so don’t do it!
• Pick up all paper and other stuff under
and around your desk and throw it away
on your way out of the classroom.
21. Blackboard, Blog, &
online textbook
• You are expected to check my Blog every
day.
• You are expected to access any and all
resources I post to my Blackboard and
use them to prepare or review for future
classes.
• You can access our textbook online.
Complete instructions are on Blackboard.
23. And finally
• Fire Drill
– In the event of a fire drill, you will immediately line up
in a single file line and silently follow me down the
hall to our outside location. The last one out of the
room will turn off the lights and close the door.
• Gum/Food/Candy
– No eating in class. Period.
• Talking/Stop Talking
– When I raise my hand, that is your signal to stop
talking.
• Consequences (ugh!)
– You will receive one warning, and then your DMC
card will be marked for any non-compliance!
24. Let’s
Summarize!
