Cornell a classically trained
chef and owner of The Small
Chef at Large Catering
Company.
Jennifer a graduate of New England
Culinary Institute, has a passion
for cooking with over a decade of
experience at fine restaurants and
resorts throughout the Caribbean .
Having resided in Costa Rica, Chef
Cornell brings personal knowledge
and expertise surrounding the Costa
Rican culture and culinary arts.
5. Day 1: Transportation from SJO
International Airport to Hotel for check-

11. Day 5: Samara Beach-Kalimba Style,

and even a few local bars or restaurants
for you to enjoy.
We meet up again at 5:00PM for a

Carrillo Beach to buy some great “just

for the short drive to Lagarta
Restaurant.
One of the most romantic spots on the
coast, Lagarta is well know for having a
spectacular view of the
coastline, surrounding hillside and is
part of a private biological reserve.
Their Chefs menu consists of different
styles of meat and local fish with an
accompaniment local fruits and fresh
vegetables.
We will be taken back by van for you to
enjoy an evening of leisure back at the
Villas Kalimba.
14. DAY 7: Poolside Continental Breakfast, Tour of
San Jose and Explore the Artisan Market

Depart the Villas at
8:00am and travel by
luxury van for the return
trip back to San Jose.
Hotel Check In then off for
a private tour beginning at
1:00pm to see the sights of
the Historic San Jose.
15. We will have a chance to view the capitals monuments, some gorgeous
residential areas of the city and learn about the uniqueness of Costa Rica.
No trip to Central America would be complete without a stop at the Pre-
Columbian Gold museum. Famous for showcasing jade, stone, gold and
pottery artifacts.
After our guided tour we will then venture over to the Artisan Market.
This is a great place for souvenirs, handcrafted goods such as colorful
hammocks, carved wood, jewelry and clothing. This is our chance to bring
back some local treasures made by area craftsmen and vendors. Around the
market it’s well known as a place to grab some delicacies for a light snack to
hold you over until dinner.
Depart the Artisan Market at 6:00pm to freshen up at the hotel prior to our
dinner at a local Costa Rican Tippico for our last hurrah.
16. Day 8: Homeward Bound
