Each ovary contains
thousands of microscopic sacs
Ova
 Known as the female

Primary reproductive organ
About the size of an egg
Seminiferous tubules
 Each testis contains 1-4

  4. Non pregnant uterus measures about 3 inches in length, 2 inches wide, and 1 inch thick. Supported by broad ligaments which extend from each side of the uterus to the lateral body wall
  5. Perimetrium- The outer serous layer or the visceral peritoneum Myometrium- Extremely thick smooth muscular middle layer Endometrium- inner mucous layer
  6. Clitoris- contains many nerve endings
  7. Mature male reproductive cell
  8. Vas deferens- is a continuation of the epididymides which travels up the inguinal canal and then runs downward and backward to the side of the urinary bladder. It then curves around the ureter and goes down to meet the with the seminal vesicle duct on the posterior side of the bladder. Seminal vesicles- two twisted membraneous tubes. This duct leads away from the seminal vesicle that joins to the vas deferens to form the ejaculatory duct on either side. Ejaculatory duct- short very narrow that desends into the prostate gland to join with the urethra
  9. Penis contains erectile tissue that can become enlarged and rigid Prepuce (foreskin) is loose fitting skin that covers the end of the penis
