An AmeriCorps national service position cannot be used for attempting to influence legislation, organizing protests or strikes, assisting or deterring union organizing, engaging in partisan political activities, participating in religious instruction or worship, providing abortion services or referrals, conducting voter registration drives using Corporation funds, or displacing current employees or volunteers. The position also cannot provide a benefit to for-profit businesses, labor unions, partisan political organizations, or non-compliant nonprofits. Any organization receiving assistance cannot have violated any federal criminal statutes.

3. Attempt to influence legislation Organizing or engaging in protests, petitions, boycotts, or strikes Cabinet for Health and Family Services - KCCVS

4. Assisting, promoting, or deterring union organizing Impairing existing contracts for services or collective bargaining agreements Cabinet for Health and Family Services - KCCVS

5. Engaging in partisan political activities, or other activities designed to influence the outcome of an election to Federal office or the outcome of an election to a State or local public office. Cabinet for Health and Family Services - KCCVS

6. Participating in, or endorsing, events or activities that are likely to include advocacy for or against political parties, political platforms, political candidates, proposed legislation, or elected officials. Cabinet for Health and Family Services - KCCVS

7. Engaging in religious instruction, conducting worship services, providing instruction as part of a program that includes mandatory religious instruction or worship, constructing or operating facilities devoted to religious instruction or worship, maintaining facilities primarily or inherently devoted to religious instruction or worship, or engaging in any form of proselytization. 9. Carrying out such other activities as the Corporation for National and Community Service may prohibit Cabinet for Health and Family Services - KCCVS

10. An approved national service position can not provide benefit to: Business organized for profit Labor union Partisan political organization Nonprofit organization that fails to comply with the restrictions contained in section 501(c) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 An organization engaged in the religious activities described in the previous slide, unless the position is not used to support those religious activities Cabinet for Health and Family Services - KCCVS

11. 13. Nondisplacement of Employed Workers or Other Volunteers A participant in an approved national service position may not be directed to perform any services or duties, or to engage in any activities, prohibited under the nonduplication, nondisplacement, or nonsupplantation requirements relating to employees and volunteers.
