LONDON— Letter Piece Company, a group of European musicians,
dancers, artists and writers, will debut their newest show, “Play,” at
Chisenhale Dance Space on Thursday 14 July, 2011. Chisenhale Dance
Space is located at 64-84 Chisenhale Road, London, E3 5QZ. The
performance will begin at 8pm with tickets available at the door for
£8.
Newly-appointed general manager of Chisenhale Dance Space, Holly
Darton commented, “We think they are one of the most exciting
performance companies working today and thrilled to be able to host a
company that brings together many of the artistic mediums that our
space works to support everyday. We’re happy as well to support
Matthew Shlomowitz, our Art Club curator who composes for the group.”

Letter Piece Company is dancer Shila Anaraki, keyboardist Mark Knoop,
guitarist Tom Pauwels, composer Matthew Shlomowitz and recorder
player Tomma Wessel. The group was formed in 2008 to perform
Matthew's Letter Pieces, which they presented in Brussels at Brxl Bravo and
Klara Festival, in Gent at Festival Made and Vooruit, in London at Rational
Rec and Kings Place and at Queen’s University in Belfast.
Chisenhale Dance Space is a home for experimentation in dance and
performance. Situated in the heart of Tower Hamlets for over 30 years this
artist led space is responsive to the needs of individual practitioners and
the local community. True to its roots, Chisenhale Dance Space continues
to challenge perceptions and understandings of what dance and
performance can be.
