If we use the Internet. Which is one of the main reasons it has changed the way we market – because people are sharing news and information instantly. Social media such as facebook and Twitter, make this really easy. Social media are most commonly seen as social networks, such as Facebook, MySpace or YouTube. Here’s how this works…
One of the reasons that became an overnight news item, was through the use of social media the minute the video got posted on YouTube it spread fast.
And people are still talking about it….
That was a quick snapshot of just how powerful social media can be and yes, that’s an extreme example that’s harder to relate to marketing in business, although today the method is the same for any GOOD CONTENT on the web. More of that later… Back to Internet marketing for a minute.
Marketing your business always needed the right marketing mix of activity to reach your target audience and drive sales and there were a number of methods available to us. That hasn’t changed.
We can still use all of those techniques, and our objective is still to reach customers who will buy from us.
Only now we’ve got another set of tools to access online.
