The DSCA Environment

3. The Problem
• Our Civilian partners do not have quick and simple
access to DoD networks and data.
• There are no CAC cards within the civilian network
• DoD still thinks in a stovepipe Paradigm
• What are we really protecting?
• We have to share our data with them, yet we don’t
operate within their environment

• Instead of using DoD systems and requiring our
partners to come to us for data, cache our data
within the Internet and use the tools available
within the Web 2.0 environment to collaborate.
