This document discusses summer activities for adults. It begins by noting that while there are many ideas for children's summer activities, finding fun options for adults can be difficult. It then provides four suggestions for adult summer activities:
1. A movie marathon with friends where people bring their favorite movies and snacks.
2. Hosting a barbecue, which can be budget-friendly or gourmet and is a good way to socialize.
3. Organizing a block party, especially around holidays, to meet neighbors and build community.
4. Having an "Iron Chef" style cooking competition where participants must prepare dishes using a randomly selected ingredient.

Everyday we see wonderful summer activity
ideas for children, but what about ideas for
adults? Finding fun summer activities for
adults seems to be almost impossible. Do we
simply forget how to have fun as we grow
older? Shouldn't there be sites devoted to fun
summer activities for adults, just like the sites
devoted to children? Too often
adults simply forget to have fun in
the summer because it's nothing
like a summer vacation for chil-
dren. Children have the luxury of
having three months off, but most
adults don't have the same luxu-
ry. We must continue to work our
way through the hot months of
summer, but does that mean we
shouldn't have fun on our days
off? No. There are thousands of
summer activities for adults that are fun, re-
laxing, and a great way to meet new people.
This year, spend some time enjoying one of
the following summer activities for adults.
Summer Activities for Adults #1: Movie Mara-
thon
A movie marathon is a wonderful way to
spend a long weekend. You can have your
friends bring over their favorite movies and
order pizza. Or, you could also spend the
weekend watching all of your favorite movies
and enjoying all your favorite snacks. Choose
from a variety of different themes.
Summer Activities for Adults #2: Barbeque
This is one of the most popular summer activi-
ties for adults. A barbeque is a great way to
spend time with friends, family, or just your
partner. Also don't forget that this isn't just for
guys. Women can throw a barbeque just as
well as guys can. Also a barbeque can be as
budget-friendly or gourmet as you want it to
be. You can also turn a barbeque into a pot-
luck, inviting your friends to bring their favor-
ite dish to the party.
Summer Activities for Adults #3: Block Party
Summer activities are always more fun when
there are several people to enjoy them. Sum-
mer activities can be a won-
derful way to meet new
people. This is wonderful
because, unfortunately,
many communities are now
filled with people who don't
know many of their neigh-
bors. A community filled
with people who know each
other is much safer than a
community filled with peo-
ple who don’t know each
other. The perfect time for this activity is dur-
ing a major holiday, like the 4th of July or La-
bor Day.
Summer Activities for Adults #4: Iron Chef
Competition
Iron Chef has been extremely popular for the
past few years and continues to draw in new
fans. One of those summer activities for adults
is an Iron Chef competition. This is so easy to
do. Write the name of several ingredients on
pieces of paper and then have someone ran-
domly choose one. The next thing you need to
do is to decide how many dishes will be pre-
pared using the ingredient. For example, each
contestant could prepare a drink, appetizer,
main dish, and dessert using the ingredient.
After the dishes have been prepared, you will
need judges to taste the recipes. Once a win-
ner has been selected, be sure to have a fun
prize available. This is something that is
affordable and fun.

Interesting Facts

ie 'Wayne's World' was

The term "bucket list" has been around
for a very long time but it wasn't made
popular until the movie with Morgan
Freeman titled "Bucket List" came out
a few years ago.
The term derives from the old saying,
"kicking the bucket" which is a polite
way of referring to your life coming to
an end. Thus, the concept of such a list
is to record all the things that you
would like to do while you are still
alive on this planet.
Bucket lists usually go into the 3 digits
of things to do, but if you're not a very
adventurous person you might not
make it that far. However, there are so
many aspects of life that you can in-
clude on your list like personal inter-
ests, conquests, business achieve-
ments, social achievements and so on
and so forth.
What about travel? Are there not
countless places that you would want
to see in the world before your final
day is over? And what about activities
like skydiving, bungee jumping, racing
motorcycles, going snowboarding, just
to name a few?
Now the idea with the list is that once
you've made it that you actually start
crossing things off it on a regular basis
because you never know how long
you've got left to live. If you have 100
items, try and cross something off
once a week, or at least once a month.
For me personally I've reached 100
things on my bucket list with ease and
I still haven't even come halfway to all
the things I want to do and experience
in this lifetime. I've also crossed off
about 50 already and I
just steadily keep working towards
completing the rest of the list. It's just
so much fun to do.
While ultimately there is no score to
achieve in life; and it doesn't matter
whether you did more or less than any-
one when you die, a bucket list is a
way to inspire you to experience and
live life to the fullest. To do things that
you would normally never get around
to doing.
It's way too easy to get caught up in
the mundane routine of life for 60
years of your life and then wake up to
realize your best years are behind you
and you don't have much to show for
it. Your bucket list starts right now;
the time is now to make it and to start
working towards completing it. Every
single second of your life that passes
you by is one that you will never get
back.
So how do you make a list? Well, I
suggest getting a book or a diary in
which you can write all your ideas
down, or you can even do it digitally if
you'd like. Just find a quiet place and
start writing down all the things that
you would like to do before you die.
Imagine that you only have one year
left to live, what would you want to
see, what would you want to experi-
ence, who would you like to meet?
Once you have your list, make a plan
how you're going to work your way
through it. You can and should add to
your list from time to time because
let's face it, there are limitless things to
do and you probably can't think of
every single one in just one session.
Good luck to you!
