They must touch, but not overlap.
3. LEGEND
• A Chinese man Tan’s greatest possession
was fine ceramic tile.
• He dropped a tile on his way to show the
emperor and it broke to 7 geometric
shapes.
• Spent the rest of his life in putting them
back together.
4. • He was not successful, however he
succeeded in creating many designs.
• Tan enjoyed creating designs and later
called as Tangrams.
• It is the oldest and most enduring
geometric puzzles.
5. USE
• Used in storytelling
Storyteller arranges the tan to show
the shape of the character.
Pieces are rearranged to represent
the new characters or elements in
the story.
