sanskrit root ‘yuj’

It means ‘to link’ or ‘to connect’

favorable, Arjuna
expressed his
inability to

yoga, saying

restless, turbulent,

strong, O Krishna,
and to subdue it, I
think, is more difficult
than controlling the
wind.”

• Chant the pancha-tattva mantra before
you start chanting the Hare Krishna
maha mantra

• Pronounce each name distinctly

• Chant with respect, devotion and
concentration

• Preferably chant after taking a bath

• Do not chant only a portion of
the maha mantra

• Do not chant on the Krishna
bead of the japa mala
• Do not chant while reading a book or
newspaper, or while watching TV etc.
