Semantics is the study of meaning. It
typically focuses on the relation
between signifiers, such
as words, phrases, signs and symbols, and
what they stand for.
It is often used in ordinary language to
denote a problem of understanding that
comes down to word selection or connotation
3. EXAMPLES OF SEMANTICS
“Pen” is a word with two meanings:
i. A pen to write with
ii. a place for animals that has fence all
around
“Like” is also a same kind of word:
i. For liking someone
ii. For giving example.
