Residence Home Automation System – Koahi.com
We were recently called in to some luxury residence that has been undergoing a massive renovation,
to create a proposal for an automated tiki torch strategy to replace the manual-light copper cone tiki
torches which were currently installed. The owner was interested in the safety aspect with the cone-
style tiki torches, since residence was in an area with a substantial amount of wind, as well as the
potential for accidents seemed high.
After conducting a site survey and testing the real-world wind conditions, we decided to propose a
remedy using sleeve-style automated tiki torches, as seen here. These electronic ignition tikis are
best for homeowners who have numerous torches around their home, and prefer to not have to light
them manually nightly.
Furthermore, the sleeve-style automated tiki torches give the greatest wind deflection, while
concurrently providing an exceptional and artistic handle the traditional tiki torch.
After getting the homeowner find the specific decorative sleeve they wanted for automated tiki
torches, we set to function customising the orifice sizes for that torches, to deliver the maximum
effect while using least amount of gas consumption. With our electronic tiki torch system, a built-in
safety feature ensures that the flame will reignite should it head out. If there is too much wind, and
the flame is not able to relight, the tiki torch will shut itself down, and close the gas valve.
The homeowner gave us an approximate size they wanted for that flame, and we achieved this size
with a #62 orifice drill bit. At this flame height, the gas consumption could be roughly 40% less than
which has a manual tiki torch, another advantage to installing a computerized tiki torch system.
After each of the low-voltage wiring had been run, along with the transformers had been hooked up
to their ability supply and tied to the residence’s home-automation system , we were only
available in and installed all of the electronic ignition tiki torch modules, and connected the low-
voltage wires towards the heads. The final touch would have been to slip the decorative sleeve
within the automated torch head, and head over for the in-wall touchscreen remote to fireplace them
up.
Three seconds after turning the automated tiki torch button to “ONâ€, we heard a faint click
because solenoid valve opened to produce the propane gas, and the automated torches came on in
near-unison, like at a fire show in Las Vegas. The homeowners were extremely pleased using the
performance of the Koahi Systems electronic ignition module for tiki torches, and now we left while
using satisfaction of another job well done.
