TOTALITARIANISM:
 THE RISE OF THE
   DICTATORS

    By:Matthew Koen
CHARACTERISTICS

Dictators.

No natural rights.

Fascism/Communism.

Total control.

Using fear as a form of control.
FASCISM

Fascism is derived from a form of
capitalistic government. Where
as Communism is where
everyone is treated equally
except for the government.

Fascism: an authoritarian and
nationalistic right wing system of
government and social
organization.
COMMUNISM
During Stalin’s rule he was sort of like
Hitler, there was the Great Purge
which was when he killed whoever he
thought was plotting against him. He
started Collectivization which was
when he moved farmers out of there
land and made big communal farms.
One of the most important men he
got rid of was Leon Trotsky, and he got
rid of him because he was too popular
among the people because he was a
war hero. Stalin’s 5-year plan was to
basically modernize in around 5 years.
This was of course impossible for most
of his workers.
HITLER

In Hitlers rise to power he basically
took advantage of people in order to
gain control. When he went to
prison when he was younger he
wrote the Mein Kampf. He then
had the SS which were his personal
guards who beat whom ever did not
appear to be happy at a Nazi event.
When he became the chancellor he
told the president that the
Communist burned down the
Reichstag. Soon after that the
president died and Hitler became
the new dictator.
