In your exam you will be given a resources pack containing
TWO resources

•   Box office figures
•   Marketing Materials (posters etc.)
•   Articles on the film industry
•   Information about:
     • Certain stars
     • Film franchises
     • Film reviews
     • Technological advancements
     • And more…

     • Take a few moments to look over a past paper and
       familiarise yourself with the format

Section A. We will be covering:

•   Modern Hollywood film industry
•   Mainstream & Independent Films
•   Modern British film industry
•   Marketing / promotion
•   Each process a film goes through from conception to Blu-
    Ray
•   Film Stars and their role in Hollywood
•   Reason for a films success or failure
•   Film Technologies
•   Role of the Audiences

The questions you will be presented with will be generic
questions about one of the areas covered in the last slide

For example
         “What factors contribute to a films success or failure at the box
                                    office?”


You will be EXPECTED to use your OWN CASE STUDIES to
answer this question and refer to films that you have studied

As a result we will be continually carrying out case studies so
when you enter the exam you will have detailed examples for
each possible scenario
