How Extreme Shyness Can Affect One's Life
Only seven percent of the whole population do not consider themselves as shy at all. That means
majority of the population consider regard themselves as withdrawn or inhibited. Included in this
group are those who have extreme shyness. This condition is so extreme that those who have it avoid
participating in social situations, even the simplest ones, such as eating out or walking in public.
According to research studies, around eight percent of the population have extreme shyness or as
what psychologists classify as social anxiety disorder or social phobia. Children between the ages of
8 and 12 can manifest symptoms of extreme shyness. I really like this part of the article!Extremely
shy children should have guidance and support from their families since they can carry the condition
until adulthood. Eventually, being extremely shy can significantly affect their adult life.
Extreme shyness, according to research studies, is more common among women compared to
women. A significant number of these affected individuals stay away from the workplace. Members
of the male population, who have extreme shyness, on the other hand, may establish careers late in
life. Generally, individuals who are affected with extreme shyness have a difficult time handling
situations that are new to them. They make also have trouble establishing social contacts.
Extreme shyness is one condition that you surely do not want to have. Extreme shyness can be so

- You always struggle talking around strangers.

Most people who have extreme shyness do want to live their lives meaningfully. Extreme shyness
just comes in the way. Even if they want to become more outgoing and open around people, extreme
shyness prevents them from doing so. Consequently, they become socially awkward or they have
social jitters. Those who have extreme shyness most likely experience feelings of embarrassment or
shame. Some of them just want to hide. There are also those who withdraw quickly from certain
social situations because they cannot handle the anxiety.
Sometimes, those who have extreme shyness then resort to isolation. There are also those who sink
into depression, which certainly hampers one's personal as well as professional life. Schoolchildren
who have extreme shyness may have low performance at school. Adults who have extreme shyness,
on the other hand, may find it hard to make and maintain relationships. Their employment may also
be greatly affected.
Extreme shyness can be a result of different factors. One may have extreme shyness because of
parental upbringing, social environment, heredity and even because of biology. Regardless of the
root of your extreme shyness, you can always snap out from it. Using different techniques and
methods, you can improve your life. You do not have to worry about having extreme shyness forever.
