- 1. The Extreme History Project presents Local Diggings The Yearling Spring Obsidian Cache: A Prehistoric Cash-and-Carry? Archaeological investigations are underway An Evening of Local Archaeology at a site near Mission Creek where several obsidian tools were found eroding out of a bank. The tools were made from obsidian With Archaeologist, Scott Carpenter obtained from the Obsidian Cliff Source approximately 95 miles away in Yellowstone Saturday, November 12 National Park, during a single event about 3700 years ago. This presentation will highlight the ongoing research as well as unique information that will add to the Traditional Tribal music by permanent cultural heritage of the Shane Doyle Yellowstone River Valley. Tribal Cultural Consultant and MSU Phd candidate Shane Doyle will provide some traditional tribal music. At the Beautiful Mission Creek Lodge Can History Change the World?
