and our minds have changed. When our grandmothers were young did not know what a
condom was, today, we have many contraceptive methods, and if we don’t use
them why are contraceptive methods in the pharmacies? To fill the shelves?
Today there are contraceptive methods that allow us to have safe sexual relations.

Pregnancies each 100 women per year:
Less than 1%: vasectomy, female sterilization, intrauterine devices (DIU), hormonal
implant.
From 2 to 8%: hormone injection, vaginal ring, contraceptive pill, contraceptive
patch
15 to 25%: male condom, diaphragm, female condom.
Over 30%: withdrawal intercourse, spermicidal.
Apart from getting pregnant, sex without contraceptive methods may let us transmit
and get several sexually transmitted diseases such as: syphilis, genital herpes,
hepatitis, AIDS, Chlamydia....
