The State Register of Historic Places is a compendium of historic resources in
Massachusetts including all National Register listings, local historic district
properties and properties with preservation restrictions.

In my job at the Massachusetts Historical Commission, I work with local historical commissions from all over the state. All told, it is about 3000 volunteers. My job is to help them do their job. I do that through answering lots of phone calls, returning emails, putting together guidebooks and presenting workshops statewide. It is by and large a fun job. I enjoy working with a wide range of people. It has been 14 years since I started.
