We are revising the HELCOM Monitoring and Assessment Strategy to better monitor and assess the health of the Baltic Sea. The strategy is being updated to check whether HELCOM objectives are being reached, as there are problems with the existing strategy. The revision will involve reviewing the current strategy, identifying gaps, and studying alternative monitoring methods, with the final result being a revised Monitoring and Assessment Strategy and guidelines.
