What is Google…??
 Google Inc. is an American multinational

corporation specializing in Internet-related services
and products. These include search, cloud computing ,
software, and online advertising technologies. Most of
its profits are derived from AdWords.
 The name "Google" originated from a misspelling of
“googol“ ,which refers to the number represented by a 1
followed by one-hundred zeros.
History
 Google was founded by Larry Page and Sergey

Brin while they were Ph.D. students at Stanford
University.
 They incorporated Google as a privately held company
on September 4, 1998. An initial public
offering followed on August 19, 2004.
 2006 Google moved to headquarters in Mountain
View, California, nicknamed the Googleplex.

 It offers online productivity

software including email (Gmail), an office suite (Google
Drive), and social networking (Google+) .
 It include applications for web browsing, organizing
and editing photos, and instant messaging.
 The company leads the development of
the Android mobile operating system and the browseronly Chrome OS for a netbook known as a Chromebook .
 Google has moved increasingly into communications
hardware: it partners with major electronics manufacturers
in production of its high-end Nexus devices and
acquired Motorola Mobility in May 2012.

 Google Earth - (firstly it was called EARTH VIEWER)

google renamed it as GOOGLE EARTH in 2005.
 You Tube –Developed in 2006 (Use to Surfing and
buffering videos).
 Gmail - 1 april 2004 (Social networking Site).
 Google Translator - Translate between 35 different
languages.
 Google News –Developed in 2002.
 Google 1st phone - Android version January 5 , 2010.
 Google Chrome - An open source web browser

released on September 2 , 2008 and On July 7, 2009,
Google announced Google Chrome OS, an open source
Linux-based operating system that includes only a web
browser and is designed to log users into their Google
account.
 Google Wallet - In 2011, Google announced Google

Wallet, a mobile application for wireless
payments.[201] In late June 2011, Google soft launched
a social networking service called Google+.
The process of getting hired at
google
1. Recruter Screen :

the recruter screens every resume for technical
requirements, educations & experience to make sure their
is a potential fit.
2. Phone Screen :
 the recruter will contact you , explain the process and let
u knw what u expect. The recruter may ask for your SAT
score and collage GPA,
 if there is a technical engeenering role.
3. On Site Interview :

The first on site interview will be with four or five people for
45 minutes each . If this is a technical role then you will be asked
to solve technical problems in real time, which may include
coding a solution or white-boarding a design . You may also be
asked some questions like " How many a golf balls can fit in a
school bus ? " or " There are 8 balls , Seven of them weigh the
same , but one is heavier . Using a balance scale how do you find
the heavier ball with just two weighings ? "
4. Interview Feedback :

Every interviwe submits there feedback in a standard format
about a candidate and assign a numerical ranking to the
candidate . A search is done to match the candidates resume to
employees resumes to find matches for schools or companies for
the years specified .
 An email is sent to the google employee asking there opinion on
the candidate .
5. Hiring Committe :

The committe consists of senior managers and directors and
experienced employees from this domain. They see all the
potential candidates for all open jobs in this area so they have the
very good feeling for the required capabilities and availability for
the highly qulified people . The committe reviews every piece of
feedback as well as the resume and work experience .
6. Executive Review :

Senior Level management reviews every offer .
7. Compensation Committe :

As you might expect the compensation committee determines
the appropiate total compensation for their offer .
8. Final Executive Review :

Yes it is true one of the execs looks at all employment offers
before they are extended to the candidate .
9. The Offer :
 The recruiter will notify you of an offer , and will explain all the
details of the offer .Google offers are very competitive , some
might say generous and very thorough . Google wants to be
happy , motivated and totally focused .

 Google receives over one million resumes per year but

those , they hire between 4,000 & 6,000 it is around 0.1
% to 0.4 % .
 Google is more focused on hiring for talent rather than
focusing on specific skill sets.
 In the past Google has used up to 29 interview before
granting an offer .
