1. Project Overview
The site tracks inside information on movie projects in development, as well as the people and
companies involved with each project. What differentiate IOTG from sites such as the Internet
Movie Database (www.imdb.com), however, are its listings of open writing assignments
(“OWAs”) and open directing assignments (“ODAs”) at Hollywood studios. Essentially, OWAs
and ODAs are job opportunities for professional writers and directors. Prior to IOTG’s launch,
this information was not publicly available in the aggregate in any form, let alone via a search-
driven application such as this one.
