Picks of the Asian continent to expand its list of
World Heritage are Mamhan Fortress in South
Korea, a section of the Silk Road, the Grand
Canal in China, the well-Rani Ki Vav in India
and the City Iran Quemada.

Las elegidas del continente asiático para
ampliar su lista de Patrimonio Mundial son: la
fortaleza de Mamhan, en Corea del Sur, un
tramo de la Ruta de la Seda, el Gran Canal en
China, el pozo Rani Ki-vav en India y la Ciudad
Quemada de Irán.
3. El tramo de la Ruta de la Seda que entra a
formar parte de la lista es el conocido como
corredor Chang'an-Tian-shan, que abarca
5.000 kilómetros que pasan pasan por China,
Kirguistán y Kazajstán, utilizado hasta el siglo
XVI. En su recorrido se encuentran palacios,
templos budistas, ciudades y también partes
de la Gran Muralla China.
The section of the Silk Road that becomes part
of the list is known as Chang'an runner-Tian-
shan, covering 5,000 kilometers passing go
through China, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan,
used until the sixteenth century. On its route
are palaces, Buddhist temples, cities and parts
of the Great Wall of China.
10. El Gran Canal de China, conocido también
como Gran Canal Pekín-Hangzhou es el canal o
río artificial más largo del mundo. En el año
604, el emperador Yang Guang de la dinastía
Sui dejó la capital, Chang'an para trasladarse a
Luoyang.
The Grand Canal of China, also known as the
Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal is the longest
canal or artificial river in the world. In 604,
Emperor Yang Guang of the Sui dynasty left the
capital, Chang'an to move to Luoyang.
15. Irán añade a la lista su Shahr i Sokhta o Ciudad Quemada,
localizada en un cruce de rutas comerciales de la Edad de
Bronce que cruzaban la meseta iraní y que representa la
emergencia de las primeras sociedades complejas en el este
del país, señala la Unesco.
El descubrimiento de la ciudad y su buen estado de
preservación gracias al seco clima desértico convierte a este
lugar en una rica fuente de información sobre las sociedades
complejas y el contacto entre ellas en el tercer milenio antes
de Cristo, añade la organización.
Iran adds to list your Shahr i Sokhta or Burnt City, located at
the crossroads of trade routes of the Bronze Age crossing
the Iranian plateau and represents the emergence of the
first complex in the east of the country societies, says
UNESCO.
The discovery of the city and its well preserved thanks to the
dry desert climate makes this place a rich source of
information on complex societies and the contact between
them in the third millennium BC, the organization added.

21. Namhansanseong o la fortaleza de Mamhan, situada en la
ciudad de Gwangju, al sur de Seúl, es un fuerte de montaña
elevado a 480 metros sobre el nivel del mar y con una
muralla de piedra de 8 kilómetros, que, junto con el de
Bukhan, fue construido por la dinastía Joseon (1392-1910)
para defender la capital, Seúl.
Construida y defendida por monjes budistas, el rey vivía allí
durante los tiempos de guerra, lo que la convierte en única
en el mundo, dijo Lee Hye-en, profesora de la Universidad
de Dongkuk, citada por la agencia de noticias surcoreanoa
Yonhap.
Namhansanseong or Mamhan fortress located in the city of
Gwangju, south of Seoul, is a strong high mountain 480
meters above sea level and with a stone wall 8 kilometers,
which, along with the Bukhan was built by the Joseon
dynasty (1392-1910) to defend the capital, Seoul.
Built and defended by Buddhist monks, the king lived there
during wartime, making it unique in the world, said Lee Hye-
in, a professor at the University of Dongkuk, quoted by
Yonhap news agency surcoreanoa.

26. El Rani-ki-Vav, situado en Patan, en el estado indio de
Gujarat, es un pozo escalonado de siete plantas con
paneles esculpidos construido en el siglo XI a orillas
del río Saraswati.
The Rani-ki-Vav, Patan situated in the Indian state of
Gujarat, is a stepped well of seven floors with carved
panels built in the XI century on the banks of river
Saraswati.
