What I would consider as a cultural heritage in my country is an
intangible attribute to our society which is to take responsibility,
improve, and organize the valuable assets that our country was
fortunate to have.
These are the major examples for which I believe we are taking good
care of:
- The yearly Pilgrimage
- The Oil & Petrochemicals Industry

3. MAKKAH
More than 2.3 million people perform Pilgrimage every year in the
holy city of Makkah
This huge gathering of that many people does possess the potential
for major accidents and disorganization, however, with the
preparation and the help of everybody here it has shown that
every year it goes very smooth and there are no major issues. Also
this is well recognized worldwide.
To put things in perspective, the following slide gives a glimpse of
how 2.3 million people will look like in one place:

It might be shown as a cliché that Saudi Arabia is known for oil
production, but after I worked in the Oil & Petrochemical industry
I realized the hard work that goes into organizing and managing
this huge production output.

6. PETROCHEMICALS
The industrial city of Jubail is one of the largest industrial complex of its
kind in the world and consists of petrochemical plants, fertilizer plants,
steel works, industrial port and a huge number support industries.
It holds the Middle East's largest and the world's 4th largest petrochemical
company, SABIC.

7. PETROCHEMICALS
Yanbu is an important petroleum shipping terminal and is home to three oil
refineries, a plastics facility and several other petrochemical plants
