The first step of lucid dreaming is to be questioning your consciousness at
all times. This means that even as you go about in your day you should
question yourself: “Is this a dream?”. It’ll help you develop a notion of what is
a dream and what isn’t.

The next thing you need to do is to have something that will tell you that
you’re dreaming, a dream cue. While there are certain devices that are
made specifically for this, you probably will not need it. For example, many
people use a watch during the day that beeps every hour. What you need to
do is to look at it every hour and ask yourself if you’re dreaming or awake.
Then, when you’re sleeping, you’ll place that watch near you so that when it
beeps you ask yourself, in the dream, whether you’re dreaming or not. If you
take a look at your hands and there’s no watch, then you’ll gain
consciousness and realize that you’re dreaming. Lucid dreaming, actually.

In order for you to remember your dreams, the best option you have is to
keep track of them. Getting a dream journal is a great way of recognizing

journal is probably one of the best ways of starting to lucid dream.

5. STEP 4
A very good way of starting to lucid dream tonight is to wake up in the
middle of the night. When you wake up in the middle of the night, you’ll
become more aware and therefore the chances of gaining consciousness in a
dream is higher than it would be on other periods. Just make sure you give it
enough time for you to fall asleep again before having to wake up. One
natural way of doing this is to drink a full glass of water right before going to
bed.

6. STEP 5
Another effective method is to visualize yourself, while awake, getting up and
writing your latest lucid dream in your dream journal. This has best results if
you do it right before going to bed, as you’ll be repeating this as you fall
asleep.

Another great advice you should take into consideration is that it’s possible
for you to plan the lucid dream and decide what you want to dream about.
If you’re able to focus on what you want to dream about, it’s very likely for you
to actually start dreaming about it. You can add this technique along with the

Finally, you need to be patient and persistent. While you may be able to lucid
dream tonight, it may take you a while longer to find out how to effectively
