Developing from an in-service course on blogging and podcasting, six East Dunbartonshire schools decided to embark on a project in English Language which would link their schools using online tools. Staff collaborated online using a wikispace to plan and implement a project which aimed to provide pupils with a real audience for their work, develop peer assessment skills and encourage collaborative working.

8. Blogging in our classroom! Our group worked with Miss McLean to learn how to use a blog. We took a first draft of our writing and posted it on our blog. During language time we looked at our blog to check for 2 stars and a wish. We read pieces of writing from other schools and gave them 2 stars and a wish. We improved and edited our writing.
