The black rhino has two horns and gray skin, with a shoulder height between 3 1/4 to 6 1/2 feet. It lives in eastern and southern Africa in savannas and open habitats, where its predators include lions and hyenas. The black rhino feeds on antelope in these grassy plains, has a gestation period of 420-570 days, and is weaned at around 2 years old.
