1. What kind of institutions might
distribute your media product
and why?When doing research I found that an institution that might distribute our
media product is Warner Bro. I found that one of the most common genres
for Warner to release is thrillers like Batman, Harry Potter , the conjuring
etc.
We chose Warner because we like the way it used a lot of suspense and
jump moments throughout their films and , we used them as an influence on
our opening sequence . In their thriller films I found that there is low key
lighting or has a grey effect on it . So we used this when making ours , this
is to create a mood or to suggest that there is something bad . They also
use non diegetic music which creates a tense feeling . So used the same
idea . Using both grey effect and suspense music , it helped create tension
in our opening sequence .
At the start of our opening sequence we used a Warn bro. opening
sequence, we used one that is not like their most common one with the
bridge blue background and gold symbol , we used a dark and gloomy
looking one , where the background was low key lighting and the symbol
was not as colourful. The music that was used to go with it was very intense
which fitted in with our film. But we did also come up with our own which
was called ‘CHILLER PRODUCIONS’ .
