Valentines Day is Coming! Are You Ready?
“I don’t understand why Cupid was chosen to represent Valentine’s Day. When I
think about romance, the last thing on my mind is a short, chubby toddler coming
at me with a weapon.”
Ah, the woes of Valentine’s Day, a chubby toddler with a bow and arrow and a
day of disdain for many singles.
Last week we talked about expanding our view of The Month of Love, as an
opportunity. To look at February as an opportunity to grow and fall deeper in love
with our lives and ourselves.
Since the week of the 14th has arrived, I want to give you some resources you
I have more posts later in the week about reaching out and giving to others, but today is about you.
After all, you cannot give what you do not have. You have to feel yourself first and than let that love
overflow!
“By loving yourself, you obtain freedom to love others.” (Click to
Tweet) ~Lori Hil in 5 Gifts to Give Yourself
So, today I want to share with you a hangout from the Queen of Radical Self-Love, Gala Darling. Gala is
married now, but remembers what it is like for singles on Valentine’s Day. Those in relationships can
benefit too by avoiding all the hype.

2. Surviving Valentines Day Properly Through Radical Self-Love
1. ”Radical self-love is a state of mind. An act of being.” It is how you operate/feel in the world, not
based on your “doing.”
2. Just because you have a thought, doesn’t make it true. If it’s not serving you, release it!
3. Schedule your day with things you love to do. Make it positive for you.
4. Embrace the feelings you are having. Be honest with yourself.
5. Enjoy and appreciate your own company.
6. Write yourself an approval letter and soak up the validation.
7. Give love to others (One of my favorite options and I’ll be giving you more ideas on this one as the
week goes on!)
THANK YOU FOR THE RAVE
REVIEWS!
"Lorihil was awesome!!!"
8. Follow your joy. Make time to do the things that make you feel great!
9. Remember that ultimately it’s just a day.
10. Spend it with your best friends.
Fill yourself and don’t give up on finding that special someone. Love is sometimes unpredictable, but
always thank it when it stops by….
~When Love Arrives with Sarah Kay & Phil Kaye
"Thank you so much! Huge fan of your
work."
"Rock star writing!"
"Lorihil is great. She writes well, has a
great 'voice' and is easy to work with."
"Lori writes from the heart and had me
looking into my life with a renewed
thankfulness and true gratitude."

3. Love is not who you were expecting, love is not who you can predict.
Maybe love is in New York City, already asleep, and you are in
California, Australia, wide awake. Maybe love is always in the wrong
time zone.
Maybe love is not ready for you
Maybe you are not ready for love
Maybe love stays
Maybe love can’t

If you still need a bit of extra help clearing your way to self-love, try this EFT with Brad Yates. (If you are
not familiar with EFT, that’s ok. It’s based on meridian points like in acupuncture, but minus the needles.
Just follow along. If you want to learn more, visit Brad’s Site here: Emotional Freedom and click on the
