RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN
          MUSIC AND VISUAL
 Throughout the video we’ve used a link between the music and visuals
because we have made the whole video concept based.

 The music and visuals go well together as whenever the beat changes the
scene changes which makes it more enjoyable for the audience to watch.

 The lyrics are concept base and we have showed this through our story
line as we have used a female who was the star and a male who was the co-
star.
PERFORMANCE AND
           NARRATIVE
I will be using Andrew Goodwin’s theory to analyse my three media
products.
I used relationships between music and visuals which is one of his theories
to help create my music video. Goodwin explained where there was a
difference between narrative and performance based videos. This was also
reflected in our video and was good because it showed the star persona
(performance) of the character. However narrative based helps the audience
understand from the video that the girl is being cheated on while her
boyfriend is moving on.
VOYEURISM
 Compared to American music videos, our
music video in general has less voyeurism as
it is more suitable for a wider range of target
audiences as well as our aimed target
audience which is 13-25 year old girls.

 We went against this typical convention
of obvious voyeurism so that it was suitable

STAR IMAGE

 Throughout the video there were many scenes of her, as the producers
require main focus on the vocalist and because our artist is a solo artist
and this is her debut album, we focused on this a lot of the time.
 This can be seen in shots where the star is performing alone which
makes her the centre of attention.
 Her costume also brings out her character which makes it clear to the
audience that she is the main part of the song and that it is about her
specifically.
LYRICS AND VISUALS

 There is not a strong connection in our media music video of
lyrics and visuals and this is because the star is more focused on her
relationship “problem” throughout the video which helps the
audience concentrate more on the emotional part of the song as it
becomes clear through her facial expressions and the situation that
the audience is viewing.

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MUSIC AND VISUAL  Throughout the video we’ve used a link between the music and visuals because we have made the whole video concept based.  The music and visuals go well together as whenever the beat changes the scene changes which makes it more enjoyable for the audience to watch.  The lyrics are concept base and we have showed this through our story line as we have used a female who was the star and a male who was the co- star.
  • 3. PERFORMANCE AND NARRATIVE I will be using Andrew Goodwin’s theory to analyse my three media products. I used relationships between music and visuals which is one of his theories to help create my music video. Goodwin explained where there was a difference between narrative and performance based videos. This was also reflected in our video and was good because it showed the star persona (performance) of the character. However narrative based helps the audience understand from the video that the girl is being cheated on while her boyfriend is moving on.
  • 4. VOYEURISM  Compared to American music videos, our music video in general has less voyeurism as it is more suitable for a wider range of target audiences as well as our aimed target audience which is 13-25 year old girls.  We went against this typical convention of obvious voyeurism so that it was suitable This is an example of one for the younger target audience of our of her outfits during the choice. shooting.

STAR IMAGE  Throughout the video there were many scenes of her, as the producers require main focus on the vocalist and because our artist is a solo artist and this is her debut album, we focused on this a lot of the time.  This can be seen in shots where the star is performing alone which makes her the centre of attention.  Her costume also brings out her character which makes it clear to the audience that she is the main part of the song and that it is about her specifically.
  • 6. LYRICS AND VISUALS  There is not a strong connection in our media music video of lyrics and visuals and this is because the star is more focused on her relationship “problem” throughout the video which helps the audience concentrate more on the emotional part of the song as it becomes clear through her facial expressions and the situation that the audience is viewing.
