          Dylan
About The Author

 Hi! Iʼm Dylan and this is what I like to
    do,play football, play on the
    computer,and play baseball.My favorite
sport is hunting.I am writing about the
osprey because it is a really cool animal.I
have 4 brothers and 1 sister. My mom and
dad are divorced so I have 4 families. My
dadʼs side,my momʼs side,my step dadʼs
    side,and my step momʼs side.My
    brotherʼs names are
    Zack,Caleb,Carter,and Elijah.My sisterʼs
name is Amaria.I also like to sit on the
    couch and watch TV.I like
fishing, hunting, and football out of all the
    sports in the world.
Who Am I?
 Ospreys are very good fishers.
They donʼt eat much of any
thing else. Its nest is mostly by
a river or lake. They donʼt
really care about what kind of
fish they eat they just grab
  whatever fish there is. The
  places they live are basically
  everywhere. Its enemies are
  humans. People have watched
an osprey and told people that
it takes about 4 to 5 times to
catch a fish and they have
been known to catch 2 at the
  most fish at one time.
The Early Years

 A baby osprey is very small and
they are rarely seen. A breeding
pair probably mates for life and
come back to the same nest
every year. The bottom of the
nest is made of soft grass.
  Females guard the nest while
the males provide the food. At 4
to 5 weeks the baby starts
  flapping its wings for exercise.
At 7 to 8 weeks it takes off and
  flies around the world.
Habitat Sweet Habitat

 The places where
  the Osprey lives is in
  trees,by rivers or
  lakes, and on the
  ground. Its usually
  found in North
  America.
Whatʼs On The Menu
 The osprey eats a lot of fish. The
only thing it eats is usually
  fish.The most popular fish it
  eats is salmon or trout.people
always say they see ospreys by
lakes or rivers because it loves
  fish.
Making Tracks
 When ever you see
  these tracks you will
  know its an osprey.
  You might not see
  them much though
  because an osprey is a
  flying animal. And it
  barely ever lands on
  the ground. When you
  see them they are
  really really rare.
Simply Irresistible
 In flight the osprey has been known
for its crooked wings as they fly
  overhead. From a distance an
osprey looks like a bald eagle. But it
has its differences like its black feet,
  black beak and crooked wings.
Where In The World

 The osprey lives in
  mostly where the red
  is.They live on every
  continent except for
  Antarctica.They migrate
  from Alaska to South
  America.
Did You Know
 Did you know that the osprey
  migrates from Alaska to South
  America. Their average life
  span is about 20 to 30 years.Did
you know that the osprey lives
  in every continent except for
  Antarctica. Adult males can
  weigh up to 4.4 pounds.
