  property information form which includes
  every related detail to the purchase. This
  list will have to be vetted by you as well as
  the buyer's attorney. The buyer's lawyer
  will also send in a list of queries related to
  the property, its tenure, the utilities on it
  and anything you may want to include in
  the sale. Your lawyer should best answer
  these queries to avoid any doubts over
  them in the future.
• It is your attorney's responsibility to draw
  up the draft contract. This undergoes a lot
  of changes along the way till you are
  finally ready to close the deal. It comprises
  of two sections - The Particulars of the
  Sale which outlines everything that is a
  part of the deal. The other is the
  Conditions of the Sale which will state the
  approximate date to close the deal and the
  payment of deposit for the exchange of
  the sale contracts.
• Once your attorney receives the title
  deeds, he will send the sale contract to the
  buyer's lawyer. As soon as the details of
  the agreement are finalized on, it will be
  sent to you for approval. Following this
  you will receive the final contracts for
  signature. Simply signing the documents
  does not mean the sale is through.
• The documents will have to be exchanged
  to make them legally binding. After the
  exchange you will receive the deposit, if
  stipulated in the contracts. The buyer's
  lender will then transfer the payment
  through your lawyer to you electronically.
  Following the transfer of deeds, you will
  have officially sold your home.
