Library eBooks on Kindle & Kindle Apps (Long Beach Public Library)
- 1. How to check out eBooks from the Library on a Kindle or Kindle App
- 2. www.lbpl.org/downloads 1) Start at the Long Beach Public Library Downloads page. Click on eBooks, then click Search OverDrive.
- 3. 2) Mouse over eBook Fiction or eBook Nonfiction on the left OR browse the New eBooks section at the top.
- 4. 3) Advanced Search lets you limit results to Kindle Books with copies available.
- 5. 4) Once you find a title, click Add to eBookBag next to Kindle Book.
- 6. 5) Click Proceed to Checkout. You will need to sign in (if you haven’t already).
- 7. 6) Verify the lending period for your book (7 or 14 day checkout). Click Confirm Check Out. You may have up to 10 titles out.
- 8. 7) You’re almost done! Click Get for Kindle.
- 9. 8) Amazon.com will open in a new tab or window. Click Get library book.
- 10. 9) Select your Kindle or device with the Kindle App from the dropdown menu.
- 11. 10) Kindle - download via Wi-Fi (not 3G). Other devices – title should download automatically. If not, refresh.
- 12. 11) Syncing via USB - connect your Kindle to a a computer. Save to your Kindle’s Documents folder. DONE!
