the corner of your
desk

3. Discussion of Worksheet
4. Layered Curriculum/Battle Project Work Time

11. Mandatory Assignment List
Almost every day we will complete an activity
that will be logged on your mandatory
assignment list.
Each assignment will have an activity number
& title that matches up to whatever hand out
you’ve been given in class.
If you were absent, you likely missed a
mandatory assignment. Take note of it, and
make sure to get any of the notes/handouts
for that activity.
13. Guidelines for leaving class.
If you need to leave class FOR ANY
REASON, you need to sign out and
take the pass. NO EXCEPTIONS.
If you need to use the restroom, you
can take the pass and go.
If you need to go to your locker, the
office, or anywhere else, you need to
ask first.
14. You’re lecturing, but I really can’t
wait.
If you really need to use the restroom
during lecture, you can just go.
Walk around the back of the
classroom, sign out, and take the
pass.
When you return, walk in quietly and
settle back in.
Do NOT disrupt the class.
19. Resource Table
Along the back wall, you will see a
rolling cart.
On the cart you will find: lined paper,
markers, glue, scissors, pencils,
erasers, a pencil sharpener, etc
Use anything you like, but please
remember to put things back where
you found them so others may use
them as well.
20. Extra Copies
Can be found in the unit bin
on the table in front of the
class info bulletin board.
The bin will have several file
folders inside.
Find the folder that matches
the title of the activity & take
the hand out (or handouts)
that you need.
23. School Information
Can be found on the school
information board. You will find the
class schedule by day, the bell
schedule for a regular day and an
advisory day, the dress code, and
most importantly the lunch schedule
for the month.
The class/bell schedule is posted in a
few other areas around the room.
25. Personal Folders
Every student gets a
folder
Folders are stored in
milk crates (sorted by
class) on the heater
You can keep
whatever you want in
your folder-class
papers, etc.
*Please do not put anything on my desk. It’s not giving it to me-it’s losing it. At the beginning of the year, my desk is pretty clean, but it’ll quickly degenerate into a mess of handouts, memos, etc. Your paper or assignment will likely get lost in the abyss if you leave it there. I never put student work on my desk, and I ask that you don’t either.
