Mineral Story
The Mía Mariú color line is Mineral based. Minerals are naturally found in the earth and they are good for your
skin, they help build collagen and help improve skin’s elasticity and smoothness. As you wear this make-up you
will see how natural and dewy your skin will look. You will experience the Minerals silky lightness. If you are
like most Latinas, the biggest problem that you have with make-up is finding the right base shade. We have
solved that problem because we have developed our shades with just the right pigment combination to meet
the beautiful diverse tones of Latinas. Minerals react differently to light so you will find it much easier to find
the perfect tone shade that looks just like your skin. No more ash, grey, orange tones, or mask look just your
beautiful natural complexion!
You can feel good about what you are putting on your skin, our mineral based products are Oil-free, Fragrance-
free, Talc-free and they are enriched with Vitamins and Anti-Oxidants. They are so gentle that people with
sensitive skin can use them.

What are the Key Minerals found in the Mía Mariú Color line?
Mica – Mica is found in a common group of minerals and is what makes rocks sparkle. The mica used in the
mineral powder foundation gives the foundation powder its luminous transparent coverage.
Zinc Oxide – Zinc is an essential trace mineral that is found in almost every cell of the body and is an inorganic
compound found naturally in the earth. Zinc is believed to encourage many different healing properties of the
skin. Zinc Oxide used in the foundation provides sheer natural coverage and is one of the reasons the foundation
has that second skin look.
Titanium Dioxide –Is another natural mineral compound that is often used as a sunscreen. Remember seeing
people with white noses at the pool? That is Titanium Dioxide. In the foundation, it adds color and coverage and
also provides trace mineral benefits.
Iron Oxide – Is an inorganic pigment that is mined from the earth. In the foundation powder the oxide is used
to create skin tone shades.

Mineral Concealer Basics
Our Mineral Concealer is more pigmented than regular concealer formulations and less emollient so it won’t
slide around. You will need to “warm” the Mineral Concealer with your brush to ensure you will get an even
application (warming means you work the product with your brush in the pan, you can also do this on your
hand). You need to wipe off excess product from the brush. Applying too much at once results in too much
texture and not an even application.
Concealer is used under eyes to cover circles and/or to camouflage skin imperfections like blemishes or
discoloration. You want your Concealer shade to brighten the eye area and conceal undereye circles, yet not so
light that it doesn’t blend nicely with your skin tone.
If there is puffiness under the eye that is white, you would want a darker tone shade to reduce the puffiness.
If you are going to cover a pimple, spot or vein, use the tip of your brush. Dot and draw on it as delicately and
precisely as possible. For medium size areas you can use the side of your brush.
For large areas, use your finger, make sure you warm the product. This works if you need to cover rosacea, red
patches or dark pigmentation.
Always remember that applying multiple coats is better than a heavy application all at one.

Taking Care of your Brushes
You will need to gently wash your brushes on a regular basis. If you wait until your brushes look dirty, you have waited too long.
Apply make-up with clean tools; it is better for your brushes and for your skin.
Brushes that are used with creamy products (i.e. concealer) or that are used directly around the eye area (i.e. eyeliner) should
be washed regularly as often as every other day. This is a must for anything that touches your eyes or covers pimples because of
bacteria.
To wash your brushes, you need some tissues and some anti-bacterial soap or mild detergent. Squeeze a little soap on the brush and
gently work through with your fingers. Put the brush under running water and continue to work the soap through all the bristles
in the direction of the hair taking care not to bend the bristles. Wash until you have clear running water going through the bristles.
Put the washed brushes on a paper towel to dry and reshape the brushes if necessary.
For powder brushes, follow the same directions except that you don’t have to wash them as frequently.
If you are using your brushes to help demonstrate the products, you will need to wash your brushes after each application.
