4. Good Backup Foods to Pack Dried fruit Cheese sandwich: will keep all day if you use processed cheese like Laughing Cow Long-life milk
5. Handling Early Toddler Breakfasts Don't wait until adult meal time to feed the kids Stock up at free hotel breakfast OR make grocery store visit a priority on day 1 Buy shelf stable milk, cereal (serve in hotel glasses/mugs), fruit, tomatoes, carrot sticks

Toddlers, Restaurants & Dinner Feed the kids before late restaurant dinners Ask hostess/waitstaff for a plate of grilled chicken, or standard items like tomatoes while being seated Ask them NOT to bring bread; avoid power struggle Don't order off the child's menu; let child choose an appetizer Order “safe” choice to switch w/child Build meal for young child; sampling of adult meals

Treat Bag for Courteous Travel Allow long lasting candy such as lollipops before & during transit as a treat, especially when flying Bag of unique toys - interactive games like stickers/paper dolls are perfect In restaurants, order dessert for pre-fed children; time arrival midway meal for maximum distraction
