Jupiter got its name from the Roman king of the gods, Jupiter. It is the fifth planet from the sun, taking 11.86 years to orbit. Jupiter appears beige and cloudy with some red and orange colors. It has 66 named moons and 4 thin rings. Its atmosphere is mostly hydrogen and helium.

2. HOW DID JUPITER GET ITS
NAME?
 Jupiter got its name from the Roman god named Jupiter. The god
was king of all gods. (The Greek equivalent is Zeus).

3. JUPITER’S DISCOVERY
 Ancient astronomers discovered Jupiter, but Galileo was credited
for the discovery of Jupiter.
 Jupiter is the fourth brightest thing in the night sky, so ancient
astronomers used their knowledge based off of that.

 It is the fifth planet in our Solar System

 Jupiter has many poisonous clouds, a strong gravitational pull, lots
of gas clouds, and its famous “Red Spot”. Its composition it a bit of a
