In what ways does your media product use, develop or
challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
My media product uses the same format as existing magazines as it has a header
and a footer. It has a price, title, date, issue number and a sub title.
It may challenge existing sixth form magazines as it has a student in not such a
friendly pose but more a more controversial pose. I used some of the more
professional tools like macromedia fireworks to edit some of my pictures.

How does your media product represent particular social
groups?
My magazine does show a particular social group as it has pictures of students who do
the Duke Of Edinburgh award. I used the pictures to show the opportunities sixth form
offers and the change of achieving success. There's pictures of the students doing team
work and a picture of them collecting their award at the town hall.
What kind of media institution might distribute your media
product and why ?
People who would be very interested in Archbishop Ilsley school or education updates
et. The updates and things that are published in the magazine are fully related to the
issues going on in our school and the choices we have when we leave the school. So the
people who might distribute this magazine would have to be interested in the school.


What have you learn about technologies form the process
of constructing this product?
I learnt different tools of editing by using the macromedia fireworks programme and
using the ‘lasso tool’ and the ‘rubber stamp’ I learnt how to professionally edit pictures to
a high quality and I learn about certain lay outs of magazines and presentations. Using
the fireworks macromedia software it was very time consuming to produce what I wanted
to do. And also that it was better to resize the photo smaller to edit it because it was
easier however when I was using the rubber stamp tool it was easier to be zoomed in to
be able to see the mega pixels'.
Who would be the audience for your media product?

The audience of my media product would be sixth form students aged 16-18
who attend archbishop ilsley school. This is because I will be basing the whole
magazine on life in sixth form and things they can do when they leave sixth
form and think about moving on to university or getting a job.



How did you attract/address your audience ?


I made sure I used the correct type of language that people ages 16-18 years would use.
The information in the magazine on the front cover and the contents page are relevant to
what most people would want to read about. The things I new would attract the people
who are leaving sixth form and moving on to university/ getting a job I made sure the
writing was bold and very eye catching so the were drawn to it.
