A dentist by profession, Dr. Kip Lipton has set a personal goal of
raising $250,000 to fuel research toward a cure for cystic fibrosis
after his youngest son was born with the disease. Dr. Kip Litton
avidly support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, which raises funds
for the battle against the genetic disorder. One of the
organization’s primary fundraising initiatives is Great Strides, a
national walk event that involves more than 125,000 people each
year. Great Strides offers an opportunity for family, friends, and
colleagues to come together and raise money for an extremely
important cause.

Great Strides
Initiative
At present, Great Strides events are held at close to 600 locations
across the country. These events not only raise funds but also
increase awareness of cystic fibrosis within the general public. The
organization hopes greater awareness will lead to more
individuals supporting cystic fibrosis research, which will in turn
potentially enable the develop of treatments to improve the lives
of those with the disease.
